Pokémon mp3 player

So going into Nats I had two decks I liked, banbliss and empoleon omastar. I ended up using empoleon/omastar.

Wednesday
We pack for most of the day, then at like 10 pm we find out that there aren't very many spots left for masters at nats. I asked my dad if he had preregistered for nats when he bought the origins badges. For some inexplicable reason he didn't do it. Luckily three of our badges had an invite with them since we won them at states, but Patrick's badge didn't have an invite. After spending like 30 minutes on the stupid Origins site I figure out that I can still add an event to the badge.
Thursday
We leave home at about 7am for the 7 hour drive to Columbus Ohio. We only stop twice (once for a bathroom break, the other time for lunch and gas), and get into Columbus around 3:30. Once we check into the hotel and park the car, we head over to the convention center. The hotel was connection to the  convention center but its a long walk. We pick up the badges and head down to the pokemon room which happens to be all the way at the back of the convention center and is also all the way in the back of the room. Once we get into the pokemon room, I had to go find Jimmy Ballard since I was buying cards from him. I get my empoleon lv. X from him. I decided to ask what The Sausage was but he wouldn't tell me. I stayed in the hall playing against people till like 10pm, then decided to find food. I went to the food court and they had wifi, so I signed onto aim and talked with people for a little while.

Friday
I decided to use empoleon omastar in the Friday Modified side event. I went 5-2 with it there (started 4-0). After going 5-2 fairly easily and with one of the losses due to a dumb misplay I decided to use Empoleon Omastar on Saturday. I also didn't like how banbliss lost if your opponent ever got set up.
Saturday
So its the day of nats and I had one spot left in my Empoleon/Omastar list. I decided to make it a cessation crystal. Me and my brothers register and then wait for them to start the tournament. Nationals finally started around 11. I find out that they are doing two flights. I'm in the yellow flight. I go over to the pairings and find my table.

Round 1 vs. Jason Klaczynski w/ GG
I probably had the toughest first round opponent of anyone in the tournament. Jason happens to be obsessed with shuffling. They had issues pairing the blue flight so he had lots of time. He would pile shuffle, then rifle shuffle, then pile shuffle again. Then he decided to pile shuffle my deck too. They then announce that they were going to re-pair the first round. He gets up and like 5 seconds after he got up to see the new pairings they put the match slip on the table. I see I'm still playing him so I don't go anywhere. When Jason came back he decided to shuffle some more.
The match started ok for me. I get like a t2-3 Empoleon. He has a Gallade with a castform that he had just attached on his turn. He only had a three card hand and I knew one of them was an energy. I had a decision to make. Either take an Empoleon lv. X with my Bebe's or take a Claydol. I had a cessation crystal in my hand, so I decided to take the Empoleon lv. X, use supreme command and leave him with a one card hand. Unfortunately my brilliant plan didn't quite work out. It turns out the three cards where as follows, two energy and a Steven's Advice. He then KO'd the Empoleon. Later in the game I still didn't have a fossil. If I had been able to get an Omastar I would've KO'd like three of his pokemon, and probably would've won. I didn't. At some point after the empoleon incident I lost a wager and then drew dead for the rest of the match. (about 6-7 turns) And when I say dead, I mean DEAD. I kept drawing things like windstorms, or empoleon right after he had ko'd my prinplup. I wasn't too upset about losing though, since I figured he'd help out my OP Win% for later in the day.

Round 2 vs. a guy from NC w/ Flygon ex/Gardevoir/Scizor
This was a very easy match to win. I get set up he gets a flygon ex. It was rare candied from the 40hp trapinch, so I put 40 damage and then ignored it. Then I used an omastar pk to KO the flygon and just swept through the rest of his pokemon. I wasn't too happy about this match though because I had a bad feeling that this guy would hurt my OP Win% later.

Round 3 vs. Older Lady w/ Magmortar/Blaziken
Needless to say this was easier than stealing candy from a baby. I won but again I wasn't completely because by now my OP Win% was looking pretty bad.

2-1

Lunch Break
My Dad, Michael and I walk across the street to this market, and get icecream for lunch. When were walking back there's some stupid parade going across the street we need to cross. We just run across when there was a slight space between the guys. Luckily the cops didn't notice.

Round 4 vs. Ajay Srhidhar w/ Leafeon/Magmortar
I believe Ajay was using the same list as Fulop and co. I was really worried about this match. We both mulliganed so I saw what deck he was using. One thing about the Empoleon/Leafeon matchup is that you really need your omastar to be able to win. Anyone else woudl've gotten a normal piplup start, but no, not my deck. Of all the basic pokemon in my deck I started with a fossil. Happily Ajay had an even worse start. Don't even ask how this was possible. He had a baltoy t1 but couldn't get a Claydol till t10ish. He told me that he ran 4/3 Celio's/Bebe's so it was just a little ridiculous that he didn't draw into one. Both our starts were really pathetic. I get up a prinplup by about t3, then can't get an empoleon. He
2hko's my prinplup with an Espeon that he had to attach two dre's too. Eventually he gets a jolteon, claydol and a magmortar. None of them were in play at the same time and by the time he got the jolteon I already had taken enough prizes that he couldn't possibly catch up.
3-1

Round 5 vs. GG
This battle was possibly the absolute worst of the day, if for nothing else than being completely demoralizing. He goes first and attaches a psychic energy to his ralts. I was sitting there thinking that this might somehow be a good battle for me. After all I had rare candy and prinplup AND got the coin flip, alas it twas not to be. I get my prinplup and then do aqua shower. He then plays a celio's and takes a kirlia, right? Nope, he takes a gallade. At this point I realized that today was NOT my day. He rare candies and then attaches a dre. It was the end of prinplup. Still though I was resilient. I managed to stall a little with chatot. I then get another empoleon and start Koing things. He started playing slowly when we had about five minutes left, so I called over a judge and asked them to watch the match. After watching this guy play for about 30 seconds he gave us a five minute time extension. This guy was incredulous. He kept asking why the judge gave a time extension. Apparently “slow play” isn't a satisfactory answer. I end up forcing sudden death. He had no evolved pokemon in play and no energies attached to his pokemon. I also had no energies attached to my pokemon. (I used mine up retreating my damaged empoleons) My chatot had 10 hp left on the bench. He had a duskcall with no energy active. He attaches and energy uses disable on my active omastar MD. He flips heads. I had one energy on the omastar, had he flipped tails I would've used send back and made him waste energy attachments. So on my turn I attached an energy to my benched empoleon and passed. He attached on his turn and used duskulls second attack, did 10 to chatot and won the game. Had I flipped one heads any of my three surf together's then I wouldn't have lost. If he had flipped tails for disable I would've won. Had he not done t2 gallade I would've won. I could go on all day about the innumerable things that went wrong for me in this match.

3-2

Round 6 vs. Con Lee w/ GG
This was probably the nicest guy I played all day, he also was ranked 5th in NA going into nationals. He was the first fast GG player I've ever played against. Unsurprisingly he got ahead in prizes. This was a match with a lot of wager's played. I won 10 of the 11 wagers that were played. When we had about 5 minutes left he was still ahead in prizes. He didn't stall me out, just kept playing at the same speed. He ended up winning by taking his last prize.

3-3

Round 7 vs. Blissey/Flareon
This guy had played against Michael earlier in the tournament. It wasn't a very difficult match. I omastar+wager'd him, and that was pretty much the game

4-3

Round 8 vs. Casey w/GG
I had terrible luck in this one also. We won't get into details mostly because I don't remember them. Lets just say had I had slightly more luck I would've been able to win this one also.

4-4

Round 8 vs. my DAD!!!! w/ Beedrill
I couldn't believe that I had to play my Dad at nationals. Of course I won. The whole match I kept having to think up reasons to call over a judge. One of the judges suggested life bans for both of us.

5-4

So I finish nats with a 5-4 record, the same as last year. I was somewhat disappointed though, since if I had had a little more luck I could've made t64.
